Had two vehicles worked on recently. In both instances the problems were diagnosed correctly and the repairs performed well and at a reasonable price. Don was the tech. and I was very satisfied with his expertise. Have used the store a number of times for smaller repairs and new tires. There is never the high pressure sell of services like wheel alignments and shocks. You do not need to contact me.
The staff were all amazing. I knew they looked for my best interest when repairing my vehicle. I definitely recommend Trombley.
I got a great price on the tires that Trombley special ordered for me. They installed the tires quickly, and they balanced them well. The mechanics there are also honest. I asked them to replace my rear brake shoes. I just assumed that the rear brake shoes had worn as much as my front brake pads (which I replaced myself). It turned out that my rear brake shoes were not worn at all! The mechanic was nice enough to take a brake shoe off, bring it into the lobby, and show me how unworn it was. They basically refused to do work that didn't need to be done! How many car mechanics are you going to find that will do that? Thank you for your honesty Trombley. I will continue to have you service my vehicles.
Great service, great price. Got a battery installed. They got me in the same day, right on time. 20 minutes in and out and I even had a coupon on top of that. Nice folks that seem to get the job done. Highly recommended
I had an unusual vehicle emergency recently that turned out to be a big expense - bummer. However, Trombley was able to get my car in the shop within an HOUR of the breakdown! They repaired the vehicle the next day and promptly called to let me know it was finished. There have been a bunch of other shops that never call when they say they will, Trombley was a first to do that. In addition, they are not hard sellers trying to make you buy what you do not need. As a female customer I certainly appreciate that respect.
I recommend Trombley Tires of Ithaca. I've received great customer service, and had expert work done there
I am a worried parent of a college girl in Canandaigua. My daughter called me last night during a snowstorm to tell me her windshield wiper on the drivers side no longer worked. I looked up the nearest garage to where she lived and told her to drop it off at Trombley's the next morning and I would take care of the rest. Well I called and spoke to Mike at 7:30 am explaining the situation and he assured me he would get a look at it sometime but it was extremely busy (due to the snowstorm I assume). Mike called me back an hour later and said that they had a minute to look at it and it was a simple fix, AND that there would be no charge. WOW this is great customer building skills on your company's part. I told him that although my daughter is a temporary resident, she will be a loyal customer while she is living there. Mike could have charged me hundreds of dollars and I would have never known any better. I can't think of a better way to thank you than to find every possible “review” website and post this for your future prospective customers to see. THANK YOU Mike and staff, (Enjoy the pizza lunch). If you are looking for an honest repair shop I would recommend this one based on my experience.
I've been in Ithaca for the past 3 years, and would hands down recommend Trombley as the place for any auto repairs or maintenance. They are thorough, helpful, prompt, and most importantly, honest. I have never had anyone at Trombley try to upsell me on anything-- they're straight forward, which is tough to find. I strongly recommend Trombley; definitely the best in Ithaca!
I looked around on Google to see what Ithaca had to offer for Tire and Auto Repair shops. The places I like most are the local businesses. I like the small guy because they almost always give you the better service, at a better cost to help you. Trombley had eight reviews, all of them spectacular. So I decided to go there when I needed winter tires last week. Never before have I been treated nicely from when I walked in, to when I left. When I went to set up the initial installation on my tires, I spoke with Doug. Doug was very helpful in, not only suggesting but showing on a list of tires where the tire he was recommending me stood in ratings. I like seeing hard statistics sometimes, and my car is one of them. I use it for work, and I help friends get around. My car needs to be as safe as I can get it. After setting up the appointment, I said my thanks, left. Came back, I spoke with.. I believe Shawn/Sean.... Awesome guy. Setting up the needed information was quick, and after, I sat down. There was a TV for those that wanted to watch it, I, myself tend to try to stay away from it. As I waited for my tires to be put on, they had several people come and go. Very nice to all their customers, polite, I definitely recommend this place to all people. I already told one of my roommates and even my mom and sister who live up in Rochester about them. With six locations, some even up around Rochester, to check them out. I feel that I was given a more than fair price, and was the best customer service I've ever received. I wish I would have gone to them for my control arms now, but I will definitely be going to them for my future car issues. Thanks for the reviews on the local area businesses. It helped immensely.
I took my car to a little shop in Watkins Glen and had my snow tires put on and then removed and all new tires. They messed up my TPMS when they put my snow tires on and then again when they took them off. I took my TPMS to Trombley and they fixed it right away and charged me less than Wal-Mart. I was cleaning my wheels and tires and notice one of my directional tires was mounted wrong. I took my car back to Trombley and they fixed it without an appointment and didn't charge me despite it not being their error. I highly recommend both the Ithaca and Cortland shop.
Here's my little anecdote that I think people should hear if they are wondering about Trombley Tires. I'm a student at Cornell University and a couple of Saturday's ago I left my backpack (with a new laptop in it) at the store after getting some new tires (quickly and cheaply I should add). When I finally realized what had happened, I thought there would be no way to get it back until Monday, and I needed it badly to get ready for the exams I had the next week. Not only had the manager safely locked my stuff away but he even called Cornell to get my contact info to let me know what I had done. I ended up calling him at his home a few hours later and he didn't even hesitate to make the two hour round trip to unlock the store for me. Talk about customer service!
I took a tire in that had a slow leak. The tire was previously pronounced to not have a problem by another auto repair chain up by the mall. Nothing wrong according to them. After it deflated again I went to Trombley where they diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. They are great group of professionals in every way.
I would like to thank Shawn, Doug and the whole crew at Trombley for their superior service! I have been patronizing the local Goodyear factory stores and the latest issues, especially with my wifes car, was the last straw. I guarentee Trombley will not only provide you with awesome service, they will get the job done right! I now feel safe, not just with my tires, but because of the fine guys who stand behind them. Just look at the other reviews- You will not be disapointed!!!!
